👩🏽‍💻The impact of the various technology tools you encounter on the teaching and learning process

A virtual classroom is taking center stage in the teaching and learning landscape of the twenty-first century. Worldwide, Covid-19 has compelled teachers to use a variety of teaching venues to reach their pupils. As they transition from face-to-face interactions, educators find it difficult to swiftly adjust to the virtual world. There are some excellent technologies available to aid educators in establishing an interactive learning environment so they can keep their pupils interested throughout any course being given.

In the process of teaching and learning, I have come across a number of tools, including:

1. Google Classroom

Google created the online platform known as Google Classroom. As a teacher, I have conducted online courses, uploaded assignments, created and shared various activities, administered examinations, and communicated with my students using this platform. With the help of this platform, I can collaborate with students and use Google Docs, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and other tools. Additionally, I have the ability to schedule announcements that I can manage, as well as the responses and comments that are made on the announcement post.

2. Word wall

I use the web resource Word Wall to come up with or just discover activities for my class to participate in. I can choose from a variety of templates on this platform. As an illustration, if I am giving a class about input devices, I can go directly to the website and type in input devices to see a variety of interactive exercises on the topic. I typically do these interactive exercises at the end of my classes to evaluate the level of student learning.

3. Live Worksheets

For making interactive tasks for my students, I use Liveworksheets. It is simple for me to use, and it gives my students a more pleasurable and enjoyable learning experience. There are various possibilities accessible, so I would go through and choose the most suitable exercise style necessary for each learning activity based on the subject taught.

👩🏽‍💻The relevance of having knowledge of the different technology related learning theories

Learners cognitively process information, which has an impact on connectivism. Input information is processed by the computer in a manner similar to how the human brain would. Artificial intelligence (AI) is one educational technology that was designed to mimic how the human mind functions. There have long been connections between learning theories and technologies.

According to Harasim (2017), there is frequently an overemphasis on teaching instructors how to use particular tools and technology in the field of online learning, "but a theory-informed approach to transforming our educational practice remains elusive."

I believe in order to enhance interaction among educators and students, connectivism is a learning philosophy that is able to create a strong emphasis on technology. According to reports, connectivism is a relatively recent learning paradigm that integrates ideas and social graces. Technology has a significant impact on this learning process because it allows us to choose how we will go about getting an education. Additionally, connectivism encourages teamwork, that can be done on websites like blogs and social media networks.

👩🏽‍💻The importance of technology integration in the teaching/learning process

As an educator, we are looking for tactics and tools that will allow us to use technology to enhance student learning as the years progresses. The use of technology in the classroom can be used to improve student performances and critical-thinking abilities while giving learners access to learning possibilities that would be otherwise impossible to obtain.

Integrating Technology in the Classroom

When it comes to integration, some of the tools that can be employed include computers, tablets, smartboards, and even social media. Since computers are so user-friendly and give students access to the internet, allowing them to do various types of research and visit other instructional websites, many educators favor their use. Additionally, teachers can conduct online classes or store resources so that students can access them on websites like Google Classroom, which students can access.

One or more institutions that are able to afford it employ smartboards. Education professionals may keep their classrooms engaging for pupils by adopting smartboards. By playing films, exchanging photos, and even sharing notes online using a smart board, teachers may promote student collaboration. A smartboard may accommodate a range of specialized learning software.

Benefits of Integrated Learning in the Classroom

Increases Environment Engagement

This encourages engagement in the teaching and learning process. By utilizing technology within the teaching and learning environment, it will make the class engaging and entertaining.

Utilizes various learning styles

Every student in your class is unique, so it might be difficult to modify your lesson plan to suit each child based on their academic ability. Integrating technology will allow a change in your lessons with the aid of educational technology. Children who enjoy drawing, for instance, can utilize technology to make infographics to demonstrate their understanding of a certain topic.
